The Four Questions
In July 1909 a general strike was declared in Barcelona. The Spanish government replied to such general strike declaring the state of war in Barcelona. It is said that the commission of Barcelona citizens that called for the strike lost control of the situation, barricades were constructed, churches and convents burnt.
